Remodel debris is heavy, and weight is what makes it different from every other job we do. A half truck of drywall and tile can outweigh a full truck of furniture, so this is the one category where we sometimes cap by weight rather than volume. We work with contractors on live sites and with homeowners who took on a bathroom themselves and now have a driveway full of it.

The diversion paperwork your permit needs
Most Southern California jurisdictions require construction and demolition projects over a size threshold to divert a set percentage of debris — frequently 65% or more — from landfill, and to prove it before final sign-off. The City of Los Angeles requires C&D waste go to a certified processing facility. We deliver to certified facilities and can provide the weight tickets and diversion documentation. Ask for it at booking; retrofitting the paperwork after the fact is painful.
Asbestos and lead, which we do not touch
Anything built before 1980 in Southern California may contain asbestos in popcorn ceilings, floor tile, mastic, duct wrap or roofing, and lead in the paint. We are not an abatement contractor. If material is suspect it needs testing, and if positive it needs a licensed abatement contractor working under an SCAQMD Rule 1403 notification. We will stop and tell you rather than move it.
Working alongside a live job site
For contractors we can run scheduled hauls through a build rather than one big clear at the end, which keeps the site workable and the inspector happy. Same-day and early-morning slots are available so debris is gone before trades arrive.
