Junk Removal Pricing

Volume-based junk removal pricing: $99 minimum, $250 quarter truck, $499 half truck, $899 full truck. No hidden fees.

Junk removal with The Junkiez costs $99 for a minimum load, $250 for a quarter truck, $499 for a half truck and $899 for a full 12ft truck. You pay for the space your items take up, not by the hour, and the price is confirmed on site before anything is loaded.

Why volume rather than hourly

Hourly pricing punishes you for having a difficult property. If your couch is on the third floor of a 1920s walk-up with a turn at the bottom of the stairs, an hourly crew has every incentive to take its time. Volume pricing puts that risk on us: the price is agreed before anything moves, and if the job takes twice as long as we expected, that is our problem rather than your invoice.

Our truck is bigger than theirs

We run 12ft trucks. Most of the national franchises run 10ft. That is roughly 20% more capacity per load, which means a job that fills their truck often still fits in a half of ours. Worth checking when you compare quotes — “full truck” is not a standard unit.

The only things that ever cost extra

Two, and we tell you about both before we start. California mandates a per-tyre disposal fee, which is a few dollars each. And genuinely dense material — concrete, soil, tile, roofing — is capped by weight rather than volume, because a small pile of concrete can outweigh a full truck of furniture. Stairs, elevators, long carries, disassembly and heavy items are all included.

When you should not pay us at all

If you have one item, no deadline and live in a city with free bulky-item collection, use it. Most Southern California cities offer residents a few free pickups a year. We will tell you this on the phone rather than take your money for something your city will do for nothing.

Pricing questions

How much does junk removal cost?

Junk removal with The Junkiez costs $99 for a minimum load, $250 for a quarter truck, $499 for a half truck and $899 for a full 12ft truck. You are charged by the volume your items take up in the truck, not by the hour, and the price is confirmed on site before anything is loaded.

Do you charge by weight or by volume?

By volume, for almost everything. You pay for the space your items occupy in the truck. The exceptions are genuinely dense materials — concrete, soil, tile and roofing — which are capped by weight, because a small pile of concrete can outweigh a full truck of furniture.

Is the quote free?

Yes. We come out, look at what you have, and give you a firm price. If you decide not to go ahead there is no charge for the visit. You only pay if you say go.

Are there hidden fees?

No. Stairs, long carries, disassembly, heavy items and elevator use are all included in the quoted price. The only extras that ever apply are per-tyre disposal fees, which California mandates, and dense-material weight overages, both of which we tell you about before we start.

Do you offer a discount?

Mention the site when you call or text and you get 10% off your first job. We also offer standing rates for property managers, contractors and other repeat commercial clients.

What payment methods do you take?

Cash, all major credit and debit cards, Zelle, Venmo and cheques from established commercial accounts. Payment is taken on completion, not up front.

What customers say

My mother had let things get out of hand and I was dreading the whole process. They came in an unmarked truck, never made a single comment, and asked before removing anything that was not obviously rubbish. Took four days and they never once rushed her.

Verified customer Los Angeles

I called about one old fridge and they told me my utility would collect it free and pay me for it. They talked themselves out of a job. When I needed a full garage cleared two months later I did not call anyone else.

Anh L. Irvine

Six-person spa behind a narrow side gate. Two other companies looked at it and passed. These guys drained it, cut it into sections and had the patio swept by 4pm. The price they quoted on arrival was the price I paid.
