The Junkiez provides same-day donation pickup in Los Angeles County. We collect usable furniture and goods, deliver them to a local charity and send you the itemised donation receipt.
Most charities will happily take your sofa — as long as you can get it to them, it is in good condition, and their truck happens to be in your area in the next three weeks. That gap is why perfectly good furniture ends up in landfill. We collect it on your schedule, deliver it to a partner charity, and send you the receipt.
Donation Pickup in Los Angeles County
Los Angeles County is 88 cities and roughly 4,000 square miles, and hauling here is really a set of separate problems that happen to share a county line. The Westside is dense rent-controlled apartment stock with no parking. The Valley is post-war single-family homes with two-car garages that have not held a car since the nineties. The South Bay is beach cities with walk streets and alleys. The San Gabriel Valley is century-old housing with detached garages and deep lots. We run crews who know which one they are walking into.
Most cities in the county offer residents some form of free bulky-item collection, and we will tell you when that is the better option for you. Where it does not work — a deadline, an item that has to come down two flights, a landlord who needs the unit cleared this week — we are same-day. Loads go to certified transfer, materials recovery and composting facilities, and construction debris goes to the certified processors the City of Los Angeles requires for permit sign-off.

What can and cannot be donated
Charities have to be selective, and their limits are set by health law and by what they can actually resell. Torn or heavily stained upholstery, anything with pest exposure, cribs and car seats that fail current safety standards, and recalled products all get declined. We know each partner’s current acceptance list, so we sort at pickup and route donatable goods one way and disposal the other — you get one visit either way.
